I can best be described by 3 attributes: competitive, frugal, and ugly. In the interest of time lets just talk about the 1st two. Competitiveness: Once i get involved with something I refuse to lose. ..until it becomes evident that i have no shot at being sucessful. I take games and contests way too seriously....unfortunately my genes (thanks mom and dad) prevent me from having even a hint of athleticism which left me with a painful childhood. When it came to sports I was like the little engine that could..except with an unhappy ending. "I think i can...i think i can....oh wait- i cant". SO i guess im more like the little engine that couldnt. But anyway i have since learned to shy away from sports b/c it only ends with humiliation and heartache. Thats why i retired from bowling...i used to go every week for like 6 months straight and when i was still hovering at around 100 i decided to call it quits. Even with sports teams like the jets and yankees i get so wrapped up in them during the season that i almost have to avoid all sharp objects when they lose.My frugalness is hard to explain. when it comes to other people i dont mind shelling out money but for myself i always rough it out. It's a big joke with my family but they dont understand that i work at saf-t-swim for peanuts. i just get enough money to pay for gas and 2 days worth of food and thats about it. So with poker i have tried to find a way to combine the two atributes. Be competivitve and dont lose money- and for a while it worked but i have hit a serious skid recently. So i think im gonna take definite break even if its just for 1 week.
With the weather getting really frigid and school creeping closer and closer, its time to go back to normalcy. I am certainly not ready to go back to school next week but i definately feel like i need some direction - i cant keep going to sleep at 3 and waking up at 11 or 11:30. This was the first break that i have had in a long time...i usually jump on oppurtunities to take winter/summer classes cuz i wanna get a jump start on my future..although im still graduating late. Anyway this semester hopefully wont be too bad. i do know a couple of people in my classes so thats always a good start.
My brother looks like he needs another surgery on his foot. one bone healed faster than the other which hindered the complete healing process so they mite have to shave off part of the bone and take out a couple screws. its gonna be another ordeal so i dont wanna worry about it i just hope it all worx out.
The Jets loss was rough but im not devistated like most jets fans. Every1 thought the jets didnt even deserve to be there. but they shut up all the critics. they beat the chargers and they stood toe to toe with the stealers for over 4 quaters and had a couple oppurtunities to win. Thats all u can ask for. They'll be back next yr. Everyone is now predicting the patriots/eagles in the superbowl. SO now im going to be bold and say stealers/eagles..in the super bowl. god i hope im right.
